Requirements for au pairs in Netherlands
18-31 years old
Can't be married and have children
Basic knowledge of English language
Be able to pay for travel expenses
Only a recognized au pair agency can submit an application on behalf of an au pair. The au pair agency has to be recognized by the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). More information of Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) for citizens of non-EU countries and EU/EEA or Swiss citizens.
Requirements for host families in Netherlands
Have at least one child under the age of 18
Provide au pair with own bedroom and all meals
Provide au pair with pocket money from 340 EUR / month
Au pair duties cannot exceed 8 hours / day and 30 hours / week
Au pair stay: 12 months
Be a Dutch speaking family and willing to be part of a cultural exchange
Be a different nationality than the au pair's nationality
