An au pair is a young helper (18-30 years, unmarried, with no children) who travel to a foreign country to live with a host family and help with childcare as well as some housework. The host family provides the au pair with accommodations, food and pocket money, for personal use.

A nanny usually has some type of formal training or has a lot of experience with children. A nanny is a waged worker, usually works full time, available 24 hours a day and gets 1 or 2 days off per week. A nanny normally has sole responsibility for the child.

Bump - is confirming the relevance of your profile. It raises your profile to the top of the search results. The bump can be used daily (once in 24 hours) - then your profile when searching will always be above outdated profiles.
With the Premium Membership - your active profile will automatically get Bumped every time you log in.

Yes, they do. Usually, Host Families are looking for females, but that does not mean there are no positions for males. Having a good profile, informative description and including a pleasant photo will help your prospects of finding a Host Family.

Yes. You can cancel the Premium Membership at any time, and you will not be billed again. Once canceled, your Premium Membership Subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period, and you will not be charged at the start of the next billing period. To manage your subscription, please visit Account > Subscription.

If your account was suspended, a hold was placed due to suspicious account activity. Your profile will be saved, but you will not be able to use the site, and other Users will not be able to view your profile. Messages sent to your profile will still be received, but cannot be accessed unless the suspension is fully reviewed and granted. Reasons for account suspension can include:
  • Reports by other Users about your profile or conduct
  • Abusive, vulgar or sexually explicit language
  • Promoting or advertising a business
  • Soliciting passwords, bank information or other personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes from other users
  • Posting any false, misleading, or inaccurate content about yourself and/or your profile
  • Having multiple accounts

To delete your account, please visit Account > Personal data page. Please note, deleting your Account will permanently remove it, and this cannot be recovered.
If you wish to temporarily hide/make invisible yourself on the site, you may choose to deactivate your profile instead of completely removing it. Once you change your mind, you can reactivate it.
